The Chairman and the Committee
The Chairman
The Chairman presides over the Community Council sessions, for which he sets the agenda, prepares and executes the decisions. To do so he relies on the support of all the services and personnel to whom he is senior in rank. He is also the legal representative of the municipal Community.
The Chairman is elected by the Community Council delegates each time the municipal councils are re-elected.
The Chairman is backed up by Vice-chairmen, who may be given power of signature for certain administrative acts.
The Committee
The committee is composed of elected representatives from the Community Council designated at the proposal of the Chairman, and the Chairman himself. It meets regularly, once a week on average.
The Committee’s missions are to:
prepare proceedings for the Community Council
study the proposals of the commissions before submitting them to the Community Council
